Czech and Slovak Stories Season' was a selection of twelve Czech and Slovak movies about the recent history of Czechoslovakia and its dissolution in 1993. Movies were screened by the timeline according to the historic-political events that happened in Czechoslovakia.
Screenings were based in Deptford Cinema, a volunteer-run flat-structured organization in South East London. The season started in December 2015 and was followed by talks, workshops and off site projects until July 2016. The Czech and Slovak Stories team Lucie Kordacova, Adriana Kytkova and Gabriela Zigova were invited by the Slovak Embassy to present at EUNIC (European Union National Institute for Culture) in Europe House in London.
Together with Czech Centre in London we co-organized the worldwide premiere of digitally remastered Academy Award Nominee for the Best Foreign Fiction Film “The Elementary School” by Czech culture icon Zdenek Sverak. Czech and Slovak Stories presented a curated showcase of Slovak short films dealing with social issues in contemporary Slovakia supported by Slovak Embassy and VSMU (Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava) and were part of Made In Prague Festival in 2016.

Founded by Lucie Kordcova, these Life Drawing sessions were established at the Deptford Cinema and aimed to be a relaxed and affortable drop-in drawing workshop with no prior expierience with life drawing needed.
